Mobile Apps for Clients and Cleaners
- Automated pricing and team assignment, considering surface area, cleaning type, team size and cleaner experience.
- A real-time cleaning management system, with validation based on geolocation.

A digital marketplace that connects clients with professional cleaning teams, through a mobile app and a web admin.

Ordonat is a new digital ecosystem created by BLAShine, one of the largest cleaning companies in Romania. With strong expertise in the cleaning industry, they partnered with Salt & Pepper to turn their operational know-how into a scalable digital product for the wider market.
Ordonat is the first platform in Romania that digitises the full cleaning experience, allowing clients to book cleanings, select teams, receive real-time updates and pay securely. Cleaners have their own mobile interface to manage bookings, talk to clients and validate their work on site, and a web admin portal lets Super Admins manage cleaning teams, workflows and exception cases across the platform.
Built with React Native, the client app lets users manage the entire cleaning experience in one place, with a smooth and reliable experience on both iOS and Android.

Built with React Native, the cleaner app supports the cleaners’ side of the system. Every cleaner role uses the same core workflow, designed so each booking is carried out accurately and transparently.

The web admin portal is the central operational tool for the Super Admins, the Ordonat team. It gives full visibility and control over everything happening on the platform and acts as the backbone of the Ordonat ecosystem, so the team can coordinate activity, keep the service reliable and support the platform at scale.
The back end and cloud layer connect every part of the Ordonat ecosystem and power its core business logic. Built with Node.js, Next.js and a PostgreSQL relational database, it keeps workflows running reliably across the mobile and web applications.
The main challenge of the project was defining and refining the application logic together with the client. Ordonat set out to translate real-world cleaning workflows into a fully digital ecosystem, so the team worked side by side with the founders to design every operational scenario, drawing inspiration from well-known delivery and service platforms.
Many of the core behaviours, such as pricing rules, team assignment and service validation, were developed collaboratively and evolved as both teams clarified how the digital experience should mirror real operational needs. One concrete example was confirming that a cleaning actually takes place, which led to a geolocation-based validation system. From there, the team also designed fallback mechanisms for real-world edge cases.
Through continuous collaboration and iteration, the platform reached a logic model that is both reliable and aligned with how cleaning services work in practice.
The Ordonat project began with a Discovery phase in which the Salt & Pepper team worked closely with the founders to understand how their real-world cleaning operations could become a fully digital ecosystem. Together, we mapped user roles, operational scenarios and service workflows, setting the foundation for the initial product roadmap.
The project had a reduced budget, so the design phase took a pragmatic approach. Instead of a dedicated UI/UX designer, the Senior Mobile Developer created the app’s interface using Salt & Pepper’s internal design system, guided by early mockups from the client and continuous feedback. This let the team move quickly into development while keeping the UI consistent and usable.
The MVP was developed over the first three months, covering the core experience: requesting cleanings, automated pricing and team assignment, role management and admin oversight. After that, development focused on refining business logic, adjusting workflows and adding features as the client clarified how the platform should replicate and scale their service model.
Project management played a key role throughout, with daily syncs, refinement sessions and ongoing communication over Slack and Google Meet. A collaborative decision-making process shaped the platform’s logic, and the project manager kept client expectations and development priorities aligned as new operational scenarios emerged.
After Discovery clarified the core service flows, the team moved into implementation with a development-first mindset, shaped by the project’s evolving operational requirements.
Ordonat was first released as a Friends and Family version, so the team could validate the core workflows with real users and gather early feedback from cleaning teams and clients. After this phase, the platform grew into a public release, now supporting multiple cleaning partners who use the app in their daily operations in Cluj-Napoca, for now.
The product has become the foundation of a new digital business model for the Ordonat team: cleaning partners join the platform, operate through their assigned roles and generate revenue, while Ordonat earns a commission. This creates a scalable digital platform that reaches far beyond the founders’ original cleaning company and opens the door to broader expansion.
After launch, Salt & Pepper continued to support the platform with long-term maintenance, stability improvements and automated end-to-end testing. The collaboration remains strong, and the client values the team’s dedication and adaptability throughout the journey.
